An ideal location for boat trips to Skokholm & Skomer Islands
As well as close-by to beautiful cliff-top scenery & stunning beaches
A short post to document the first part of our trip to Pembrokeshire’s Skokholm Island (Follow the post at the bottom of the page for full details of our trip to the island). We stayed here primarily because we needed somewhere convenient for getting the early morning boat from Martin’s Haven, the embarkation point for Skokholm & Skomer Islands.
West Hook Farm
Where you should leave your car before your trip to Skokholm Island
West Hook Farm is the best place to leave your car before your departure to Skokholm Island, which should be booked in advance. It’s just a short trip up the road from the accommodation.
The Old Post Office, Marloes
Our accommodation in Marloes
Found through Airbnb, our accommodation was a spacious one bedroomed annexe, which was formerly the village’s original old post office. It had everything we needed for our short stay, including a lovely woodburning-stove which was very welcomed in the evening!
Getting There
