Hiking in Greenland
Or for anyone seeking a truly remote and exploratory experience, set off and explore Greenland’s wild glaciated terrain on a day hike or multi-day trekking adventure. Located in Tasiilaq, the capital of East Greenland, The Red House offers visitors from all over the world an incredible experience, with simple hikes up to more challenging glacier tours.

Glacier Hikes
Even the inexperienced can enjoy walks right outside the house. An easy but longer hike of around eight hours, leads through a meadow valley past numerous lakes to a pass summit, where you have a view of Sermilik Fjord, the inland ice and the polar current.
Or take a day hike to Tasiilaq’s “local mountain” – the summit of which can be climbed in about five hours. More difficult and longer treks (up to ten hours), are also available – for example glacier tours, some of which require ice equipment.
